Tôi nghe như vầy:
Một thời đức Phật trú tại vườn Cấp Cô Độc, rừng cây Kỳ-đà, nước Xá-vệ.
Bấy giờ, Thế Tôn bảo các Tỳ-kheo:
“Có hai pháp này, bên trong tự tư duy, và chuyên tinh nhất ý kính lễ pháp bảo, hay kính lễ thần miếu Như Lai. Thế nào là hai pháp? Có lực, có vô úy. Tỳ-kheo, đó gọi là có hai pháp này, bên trong tự tư duy, và chuyên tinh nhất ý lễ kính pháp bảo, hay thần miếu Như Lai. Như vậy, này các Tỳ-kheo, hãy học điều này.”
Các Tỳ-kheo sau khi nghe những gì đức Phật dạy, hoan hỷ phụng hành.
聞如是：
一時，佛在舍衛國祇樹給孤獨 T 0577c20園。
爾時，世尊告諸比丘：「有此二法，內自思 T 0577c21惟，專精一意，當禮法寶，亦禮如來神廟。云 T 0577c22何二法？有力、有無畏。是謂，比丘！有此二法， T 0577c23內自思惟，專精一意，當禮法寶及如來神廟。 T 0577c24如是，諸比丘！當作是學。」
爾時，諸比丘聞佛 T 0577c25所說，歡喜奉行。
T 0577c26 SC 1Thus I have heard: One time, the Buddha was staying at Anāthapiṇḍada’s Park in Jeta’s Grove of Śrāvastī.
SC 2It was then that the Bhagavān addressed the monks, “There are two things that honor the Dharma jewel as well as the shrines of the Tathāgata and gods when one contemplates and focuses of them single-mindedly. What are the two things? Possessing the powers and kinds of fearlessness. Monks, these are two things that honor the Dharma jewel and the shrines of the Tathāgata and gods when one contemplates and focuses on them single-mindedly. Thus, monks, you should train yourselves.”
SC 3When the monks heard what the Buddha taught, they rejoiced and approved.
