Một thời, Phật ở tại vườn Cấp cô độc, rừng cây Kỳ-đà, nước Xá-vệ. Bấy giờ, Thế Tôn nói với các Tỳ-kheo:
“Nếu Sa-môn, Bà-la-môn nào không tập cận sắc, thì những Sa-môn, Bà-la-môn ấy không bị ma chi phối, không rơi vào tay ma, không chạy theo ước muốn của ma, sẽ không bị ma trói buộc, thoát sợi dây trói của ma. Đối với thọ, tưởng, hành, thức lại cũng như vậy.”
Phật nói kinh này xong, các Tỳ-kheo nghe những gì Đức Phật dạy, hoan hỷ phụng hành.
Cho đến “Thổ sắc” lại cũng như vậy.
如是我聞：
一時，佛住舍衛國祇樹給孤T 0041c08獨園。
爾時，世尊告諸比丘：「若沙門、婆羅門T 0041c09於色不習近者，不隨魔自在，不入魔手，T 0041c10不隨魔所欲，非魔縛所縛，解脫魔繫；不T 0041c11習受、想、行、識亦復如是。」
佛說此經已，諸比T 0041c12丘聞佛所說，歡喜奉行。
T 0041c13乃至吐色亦復如是。
T 0041c14 Thus have I heard. At one time the Buddha was staying at Sāvatthī in Jeta's Grove, Anāthapiṇḍika's Park.
At that time the Blessed One said to the monks: “If a recluse or Brahmin does not become habituated to bodily form, then he does not follow Māra's power, does not go into Māra's hand, does not follow Māra's wishes, is not bound by Māra's bondage, and is free from Māra's fetters. Not becoming habituated to feeling … perception … formations … consciousness is also like this.
When the Buddha had spoken this discourse, hearing what the Buddha had said the monks were delighted and received it respectfully.
Up to “vomiting out bodily form” is also like this.
