Tôi nghe như vầy:
Một thời, Phật ở tại vườn Cấp cô độc, rừng cây Kỳ-đà, nước Xá-vệ. Bấy giờ, Thế Tôn nói với các Tỳ-kheo:
“Thiện nam có lòng tin, cần suy nghĩ như vầy: ‘Ta nên thuận theo pháp. Ta hãy an trụ với sự tu tập, tu tập nhiều, về yểm ly đối với sắc; an trụ với sự tu tập, tu tập nhiều, về yểm ly đối với thọ, tưởng, hành, thức.’ Thiện nam tử có lòng tin bèn an trụ với sự tu tập, tu tập nhiều, về yểm ly đối với sắc; an trụ với sự tu tập tu tập nhiều, về yểm ly đối với thọ, tưởng, hành, thức, nên đối với sắc được yểm ly; đối với thọ, tưởng, hành, thức được yểm ly. Do yểm ly mà ly dục, giải thoát, giải thoát tri kiến, biết rằng ‘Ta, sự sanh đã dứt, phạm hạnh đã lập, những gì cần làm đã làm xong, tự biết không còn tái sanh đời sau nữa.’”
Phật nói kinh này xong, các Tỳ-kheo nghe những gì Đức Phật dạy, hoan hỷ phụng hành.
如是我聞：
一時，佛住舍衛國祇樹給孤T 0012a10獨園。
爾時，世尊告諸比丘：「信心善男子應T 0012a11作是念：『我應隨順法，我當於色多修厭離T 0012a12住，於受、想、行、識多修厭離住。』信心善男子T 0012a13即於色多修厭離住。於受、想、行、識多修厭T 0012a14離住，故於色得厭，於受、想、行、識得厭。厭已，T 0012a15離欲、解脫，解脫知見：『我生已盡，梵行已立，T 0012a16所作已作，自知不受後有。』」
佛說此經已，T 0012a17諸比丘聞佛所說，歡喜奉行。
T 0012a18 SC 1Thus have I heard: One time, the Buddha was staying at Anāthapiṇḍada’s Park in Jeta’s Grove of Śrāvastī.
SC 2It was then that the Bhagavān addressed the monks, “A faithful good son should have this thought, ‘I should follow the teaching. I will often cultivate disillusionment with form … feeling … conception … volition … often cultivate disillusionment with consciousness.’
SC 3“A faithful good son then often cultivates disillusionment with form … feeling … conception … volition … often cultivates disillusionment with consciousness. He becomes disillusioned with form … feeling … conception … volition … becomes disillusioned with consciousness. After being disillusioned, he parts with desire for it and is liberated from it. Being liberated, he knows and sees: ‘My births have been ended, the religious life has been established, and the task has been accomplished. I myself know that I won’t be subject to a later existence.’”
SC 4After the Buddha spoke this sūtra, the monks who heard what the Buddha taught rejoiced and approved.
