Đời sống chân chánh, đời phạm hạnh,
được gọi là kho báu tối thượng.
Nhưng nếu ai xuất gia
từ đời tại gia sang vô gia,
mà tính tình xấu xa,
thô bạo và bắt nạt,
thì đời họ tệ hơn,
như độc dược mọc bên trong.
Tỳ-kheo thích tranh cãi,
bao phủ bởi si mê,
thậm chí không biết những gì được giảng
trong Pháp Đức Phật dạy.
Quấy nhiễu người tiến hóa,
bị vô minh chi phối,
họ không biết rằng sự hư hoại
là con đường dẫn đến địa ngục.
Đi vào cõi dưới,
từ thai này sang thai khác, từ tối sang tối,
tỳ-kheo như vậy
sau khi chết rơi vào khổ đau.
Người như vậy
giống như cống rãnh
đầy ắp cáu bẩn nhiều năm,
vì khó tẩy sạch kẻ đầy đục.
Này các tỳ-kheo, biết rõ người như vậy,
dính mắc đời gia đình,
ước muốn xấu xa, ý đồ ác,
phẩm hạnh và khất thực tồi tệ,
thì hãy cùng nhau hòa hợp,
trục xuất họ.
Vứt bỏ rác rưởi!
Dọn sạch phế phẩm!
Và quét sạch cặn bã —
họ không phải sa-môn, chỉ nghĩ mình là.
Khi đã trục xuất người ước muốn xấu,
phẩm hạnh và khất thực tồi tệ,
hãy sống cộng trú, luôn chánh niệm,
người trong sạch với người trong sạch.
Rồi hòa hợp, tỉnh giác,
các ông sẽ chấm dứt khổ đau.
Dhammacariyaṁ brahmacariyaṁ,
Etadāhu vasuttamaṁ;
Pabbajitopi ce hoti,
Agārā anagāriyaṁ.
So ce mukharajātiko,
vihesābhirato mago;
Jīvitaṁ tassa pāpiyo,
rajaṁ vaḍḍheti attano.
Kalahābhirato bhikkhu,
Mohadhammena āvuto;
Akkhātampi na jānāti,
Dhammaṁ buddhena desitaṁ.
Vihesaṁ bhāvitattānaṁ,
avijjāya purakkhato;
Saṅkilesaṁ na jānāti,
maggaṁ nirayagāminaṁ.
Vinipātaṁ samāpanno,
gabbhā gabbhaṁ tamā tamaṁ;
Sa ve tādisako bhikkhu,
pecca dukkhaṁ nigacchati.
Gūthakūpo yathā assa,
sampuṇṇo gaṇavassiko;
Yo ca evarūpo assa,
dubbisodho hi sāṅgaṇo.
Yaṁ evarūpaṁ jānātha,
bhikkhavo gehanissitaṁ;
Pāpicchaṁ pāpasaṅkappaṁ,
pāpaācāragocaraṁ.
Sabbe samaggā hutvāna,
abhinibbajjiyātha naṁ;
Kāraṇḍavaṁ niddhamatha,
kasambuṁ apakassatha.
Tato palāpe vāhetha,
Assamaṇe samaṇamānine;
Niddhamitvāna pāpicche,
Pāpaācāragocare.
Suddhā suddhehi saṁvāsaṁ,
Kappayavho patissatā;
Tato samaggā nipakā,
Dukkhassantaṁ karissathāti.

SC 1SC Verse 277The Good Life living, with Dharma accordingly,
they say that this is wealth supreme.
But if one leaves the household life
gone forth from home to homelessness

beast-like, delighted doing harm,
such a one’s of evil life
increasing “dust” within himself,

while in delusion wrapped,
knows not the Dharma even when
it’s by the Buddha pointed out;

that one harms those of well-grown mind,

from life to life, from dark to dark,
a bhikkhu such as this indeed

a public shit-pit filled to the brim,
used for many years,
so very hard to clean.

one such attached to household life—
of evil desires and evil thoughts

should shun, avoid a person such,
blow away these sweepings and
