Nay ta đã có hạnh phúc và hạnh phúc là như thế.'\"
Na-tiên lại ví dụ: \"Cũng như trường hợp một người làm phước nghiệp bằng ý, bằng miệng và bằng thân. Đã làm thiện nghiệp, sau khi thân hoại mạng chung, người ấy được sanh lên cõi trời an lạc. Khi sống ở cõi trời đầy đủ hưởng thụ mọi dục lạc, người ấy sẽ tự nghĩ: 'Trước đây ở thế gian, ta đã làm thiện nghiệp bằng ý, miệng và thân, do đó nay ta được tái sanh ở đây, hưởng thọ lạc thú tột bậc.' 王復問那先。樂何 T 0713c04等類。那先言自覺知為樂。那先言譬若人事 T 0713c05國王。其人賢善。王賜與財物。其人得之。用自 T 0713c06快樂。在所欲為。其人自念。我事王得賞賜。今 T 0713c07得樂樂如是。那先言譬如人心念善口言善 T 0713c08身行善。行善如是死後得生天上。其人於天 T 0713c09上極意自娛樂自念言。我在世間時心念善 T 0713c10口言善身行善。是故我自致生此間。得樂甚 T 0713c11樂。是為覺。王言善哉。
The king said to Nāgasena again, “What is the characteristic of feeling?”
Nāgasena replied, “To experience it by oneself is feeling.”
Nāgasena said, “It is like a man who renders a service to the king. The man is intelligent and good, so the king bestows money and material things on him. Then the man, having obtained such things, uses them for his own happiness and does whatever he pleases to do. The man thinks to himself, ‘I have rendered a service to the king and received a reward. Now, I have obtained happiness and happiness is such.’”
Nāgasena again gave a simile, “It is just like in the case of a person who does meritorious deeds by mind, by word of mouth and by bodily action. Thus having done good deeds, the person is reborn into the heaven of bliss on the dissolution of the body after death. While living in heaven in full possession and enjoyment of all the pleasures of sense, he will think to himself, ‘Formerly in the world, I have done good deeds by mind, by word of mouth and by bodily action, as a result, now I have been reborn here experiencing pleasures and enjoyment to the utmost.’ This is called being experienced.”
“Excellent, Nāgasena.”
