Ai thuyết pháp cần phải liễu giải nghĩa, và cần phải liễu giải pháp. Ai nghe pháp cần phải liễu giải nghĩa và cần phải liễu giải pháp. Người thuyết pháp và cả người nghe pháp cần phải liễu giải nghĩa, và cần phải liễu giải pháp. Thấy rõ ba lợi ích này, này các Tỷ-kheo, là cần thiết cho một người thuyết pháp cho người khác.
“Tayo, bhikkhave, atthavase sampassamānena alameva paresaṁ dhammaṁ desetuṁ.
Katame tayo?
Yo dhammaṁ deseti so atthappaṭisaṁvedī ca hoti dhammappaṭisaṁvedī ca.
Yo dhammaṁ suṇāti so atthappaṭisaṁvedī ca hoti dhammappaṭisaṁvedī ca.
Yo ceva dhammaṁ deseti yo ca dhammaṁ suṇāti ubho atthappaṭisaṁvedino ca honti dhammappaṭisaṁvedino ca.
Ime kho, bhikkhave, tayo atthavase sampassamānena alameva paresaṁ dhammaṁ desetun”ti.
Tatiyaṁ.
SC 1“Bhikkhus, when one sees three advantages, it is enough to teach others the Dhamma. What three? (1) The one who teaches the Dhamma experiences the meaning and the Dhamma. (2) The one who hears the Dhamma experiences the meaning and the Dhamma. (3) Both the one who teaches the Dhamma and the one who hears the Dhamma experience the meaning and the Dhamma. Seeing these three advantages, it is enough to teach others the Dhamma.”
