Vi-n 5 —Này Rādha, khi nào Tỷ-kheo sau khi như thật biết rõ sự tập khởi, sự đoạn diệt, vị ngọt, sự nguy hiểm và sự xuất ly của năm thủ uẩn này, vị ấy được giải thoát, không có chấp thủ; như vậy, gọi vị Tỷ-kheo là bậc A-la-hán, đã đoạn tận các lậu hoặc, đã thành tựu Phạm hạnh, đã làm những việc phải làm, đã đặt gánh nặng xuống, đã đạt được mục đích, đã đoạn tận hữu kiết sử, đã giải thoát nhờ chánh trí.
Sāvatthinidānaṁ.
Ekamantaṁ nisinnaṁ kho āyasmantaṁ rādhaṁ bhagavā etadavoca:
“pañcime, rādha, upādānakkhandhā.
Katame pañca?
Rūpupādānakkhandho …pe… viññāṇupādānakkhandho.
Yato kho, rādha, bhikkhu imesaṁ pañcannaṁ upādānakkhandhānaṁ samudayañca atthaṅgamañca assādañca ādīnavañca nissaraṇañca yathābhūtaṁ viditvā anupādāvimutto hoti—
ayaṁ vuccati, rādha, bhikkhu arahaṁ khīṇāsavo vusitavā katakaraṇīyo ohitabhāro anuppattasadattho parikkhīṇabhavasaṁyojano sammadaññāvimutto”ti.

At Sāvatthī.
When Venerable Rādha was seated to one side, the Buddha said to him:
“Rādha, there are these five grasping aggregates.
What five?
The grasping aggregates of form, feeling, perception, choices, and consciousness.
A mendicant comes to be freed by not grasping after truly understanding these five grasping aggregates’ origin, disappearance, gratification, drawback, and escape.
Such a mendicant is called a perfected one, with defilements ended, who has completed the spiritual journey, done what had to be done, laid down the burden, achieved their heart’s goal, utterly ended the fetter of continued existence, and is rightly freed through enlightenment.”
